Urgent Care With On-Site X-Ray in Webster, TX

Not many clinics can do this: PediSTAT has an X-ray machine right in the clinic. If your child takes a hard fall or a cough sounds like pneumonia, we take the X-ray during the same visit, so you skip the separate imaging trip and the long ER wait.

What We X-Ray

Possible Broken Bones

Wrists, forearms, fingers, toes, collarbones and ankles after falls, sports and playground injuries.

Sprains That Might Be More

When an ankle or wrist is swollen and painful, an X-ray helps rule out a fracture.

Chest X-Rays

When a cough, fever and fast breathing make us think about pneumonia.

Sports Injuries

Pain that is not improving after a game, practice or tumble.

Splints and Follow-Up

We can splint minor fractures and connect you with an orthopedic specialist when needed.

Kids and Adults

X-rays for the whole family, from toddlers to grandparents.

Why X-Rays Matter More for Kids

Children's bones have growth plates near the ends, and these are weaker than the ligaments around them. That means an injury that looks like a simple sprain in a child can actually be a growth plate injury. A careful exam, together with an X-ray, helps us tell the difference and protect healthy growth. Some growth plate injuries do not show on X-ray, so we may splint and recheck.

What Happens at Your Visit

  • An exam of the injured area, including how it moves and where it hurts most.
  • X-rays taken right here in the clinic when the exam calls for them.
  • Every X-ray is read by a radiologist.
  • A splint, sling or wrap, plus clear instructions on ice, rest and pain relief.
  • A referral to an orthopedic specialist when a fracture needs one.

When to Go Straight to the ER

Go to the ER or call 911 if:

  • Bone is poking through the skin
  • An arm or leg is bent the wrong way or looks deformed
  • A hand or foot is numb, cold, pale or blue
  • There is a head injury with vomiting, confusion or passing out
  • There may be a neck or back injury. Do not move the person
  • There is heavy bleeding that will not stop with pressure
  • Pain keeps getting worse, especially in a splint, or an elbow is very swollen after a fall

X-Ray FAQs

Do I need a separate appointment for an X-ray?

No. X-rays are done as part of your urgent care visit when the exam calls for one. Book online or call (832) 215-8884. Walk-ins are accommodated based on availability.

Who reads the X-rays?

Every X-ray taken at PediSTAT is read by a radiologist, a doctor who specializes in medical imaging.

Are X-rays safe for kids?

An X-ray uses a very small amount of radiation. We only order one when the answer will change your child's care.

Can you treat a broken bone?

We can splint many minor fractures and arrange follow-up with an orthopedic specialist. Serious or displaced fractures need the emergency room.

Do you do chest X-rays for pneumonia?

Yes. If a cough, fever and breathing changes point to pneumonia, we can take a chest X-ray in the clinic during the same visit.
